were delighted to host the 2024 National Association of City and Town's Sheriffs of England and Wales' Annual General Meeting and Conference Weekend on
27th - 29th September 2024

Friday evening's registration and reception was held at Haverfordwest Cricket Club.
After 'signing in' and a welcome drink, Members and guests enjoyed a rather sumptuous choice of curries for a sit-down dinner.
Saturday 28th, Annual General Meeting
With the Chairing of NACTSEW limited to three years current Chair David Brown (Gloucester), who was voted in at the AGM of 2021, stepped down after delivering his 'Chair's Report' which can be viewed below
Members were welcomed by the Sheriff off Haverfordwest, Jill Owens.
Andy Swinburne (Berwick-upon-Tweed) who had been Vice-Chair, was voted in.
Bob Rudd (Chester) was nominated and voted in as Vice-Chair.
The positions of both Secretary and Treasurer were declared vacant.
Xena Dion (Poole) replaced Jeanne Storrar as Secretary,
Suzie Mercer (York) replaced Jan Lugg as Treasurer

The Black Tie Dinner at the Wolfscastle Country Hotel,
was a resounding success. Such a beautiful setting amidst attractively laid tables and excellent food - everyone appeared very happy.
The welcome drinks and early dinner was accompanied by a talented harpist
We thank the Sheriff of Haverfordwest, Jill Owens for the kind gift of customised chocolates for every guest!
Guest speaker was the Ven Paul Mackness, Archdeacon of St David's, Pembrokeshire who gave an insightful overview of the history and role of the Archdeacon.
Refreshments of tea and coffee with Welsh Cakes were served following the service and Chair Andy Swinburne ended the event with a few words of thanks and farewell.
